Duocene LLC is an independent software company registered in Wyoming, United States. We design, build, and maintain digital products for the web and for connected devices.
We are a small, self-funded team. That shapes what we take on: we prefer a handful of products we can maintain properly over a long backlog we cannot. We ship deliberately, we keep our own tools sharp, and we would rather remove a feature than let one rot.

Native applications for Apple platforms, designed around the conventions of the systems they run on rather than against them.

Software that bridges hardware and everyday use — local-first where possible, honest about what leaves the device.
Current work
We are building tt, a time tracker for iPhone and Apple Watch designed around a single tap. Most trackers optimise for reviewing data; tt optimises for the moment you switch tasks, which is the action that actually decides whether the data is any good. It is in private beta — read more about it.
How we work
Small surface, long life
Every feature is a maintenance obligation. We add them slowly and remove them without sentiment. A product that does three things well for a decade is worth more than one that does thirty things for a year.
Local-first where it makes sense
Not every application needs a server, and not every piece of data needs to leave the device it was created on. When we can keep your data with you, we do. When we cannot, we say so plainly in our privacy policy.
Plain language
We write documentation, error messages, and legal terms in language a person can actually read. If something in our writing is unclear, that is a defect and we would like to hear about it.
