About Duocene
Duocene LLC is an independent software company. We were formed in 2026 and registered as a limited liability company in the State of Wyoming, United States.
The name
“Duocene” is built from duo — two — and the suffix -cene, which comes from the Greek kainos, meaning new. It is the same suffix that names the geological epochs: Eocene, Miocene, Holocene. The name reads, roughly, as “a new epoch, doubled.” We liked that it sets a long horizon.
What we do
We design and build software products, and we maintain them afterwards. Our work covers web applications, native applications for Apple platforms, and software for connected devices. We take on a deliberately small number of projects so that each one can be supported properly over time.
We are self-funded and independent. We have no outside investors setting a growth schedule for us, which means we can choose work on its merits and keep products alive after the initial excitement has passed.
